Hulk Casting Drama

Edward Norton out as the Hulk

There’s alot wrong with this story, and honestly much of it is Marvel being quite insensitive. The statement by Marvel president of production Kevin Feige that “the reason Norton wasn’t cast is not because of financial reasons, “but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members.” is particularly galling. I guess maybe they’ve been watching a different actor than the one I think of when I picture Edward Norton.

Anyway, the job is open again and I wanted to throw out my suggestions. Maybe one of these will peak out the creativity/talent meter that they’re using to cast this movie.

1. Keanu Reeves

He’s got the acting chops, and the action work on his resume. Why not give him a shot at the green giant? I for one would love to see Keanu get angry.

2. Kristen Stewart

Unprecedented I know but with the recent updates of other popular superheroes let’s make the new Hulk Barbara Bannor. You have a chance to bring in her fans from her other big movie roles, show them a female scientist who they can look up to, and then paint her green.

3. Stretch Armstrong

Sure he’s a shoe-in for the Mr. Fantastic role the next time Marvel dumps an actor, but he could work as the Hulk too. Bend and shape him into the character you desire Mr. Feige, he’s your man.

4. Mel Gibson

The current reigning king of the celebrity freak out. He… you know I can’t make jokes anymore.

Edward, hope you aren’t upset over this mess. You were a good Bruce Bannor in a mediocre movie and it’s a shame that Marvel decided to slander you this way.
